Russia Premier League

The Russia Premier League (2020-2021) is played in a double round-robin tournament. In each match, the winner gets 3 points, the loser has no points, and each team in a draw gets 1 point. In the end, the ranking is determined by the points, and if the points are the same, the ranking will be determined by the win rates. If the win rates are also the same, the ranking will be determined by the match result, goal difference and number of goals. If there is still no difference, then there will be a playoff. The league champion and runner-up will participate in next season’s Champions League group stage; the third place in the league will participate in the third round of the Champions League qualifying match; the fourth place will participate in the third round of next season’s Europa League qualifier, and the fifth place will participate in the second round of that; the last two places will be relegated to the League 1; the third and fourth places from last will be played in two rounds of promotion playoff with the third and fourth places from last in the Russian Super League, and the winner will participate in the Russian Premier League next season.
The relegation match consists of the fourth from last of the Russian Super League against the fourth of the Russian Premier League, and the third from last of the Russian Super League against the third of the Russian Premier League. The two teams that won the two rounds of the match will participate in the Russian Premier League next season.
The Russian Cup champion has the qualification for the Europa League next season. If the champion has qualified for the Champions League through their ranking, it will be postponed according to the league ranking.
